Prabha Raghavan, Founder and Artistic Director of Sri Sanskriti Dance Academy has been teaching and performing the art of Bharatanatyam for over four decades. Through Sri Sanskriti Dance Academy, Prabha has nurtured hundreds of students, and has successfully launched several senior students through solo debuts or Arangetrams. Prabha has also presented many successful mega dance productions and shows.
An acclaimed artiste, Prabha has performed as a soloist and in group recitals in India, the Middle East, and Canada. She is the recipient of the prestigious title 'Singara Mani' at the all India level. Prabha trained in the Tanjavur style under Kalaimamani Guru Mahalingam Pillai at the Sri Raja Rajeshwari Bharata Natya Kala Mandir, Mumbai. Her initial training started at the age of 4 under her mother Smt. Jayalakshmi Subramanian. She has also been privileged to take intensive workshops and training with Shri C.V. Chandrashekar and Smt. Kalanidhi Narayan to name a few.
Prabha has conducted lecture demonstrations for various institutions in India and Canada. She has had the honour of judging various dance and music competitions across the GTA including TVI's Nadana Tharagai, Raaga Sangamam, Panorama Indian Idol Concert.
A strong believer in classical tradition, Prabha has truly carved a niche for herself through exceptional choreography, refined abhinaya, and natural grace.
